Stephanie Dawson, M.S.

Stephanie Dawson, M.S. is a highly experienced psychometrist with over 30 years of expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and educational advocacy. She works with adults, young adults, and children, bringing a deep understanding of diverse learning, developmental, and cognitive profiles to every evaluation.


Stephanie has extensive experience administering and interpreting both standardized and informal assessments to accurately identify conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and cognitive challenges. Her work is grounded in evidence-based evaluation and informed by decades of collaboration with families, educators, and clinicians. She is especially skilled in translating assessment findings into practical, individualized support plans that promote success across academic, professional, and home environments.


Her background as a licensed special education teacher, educational diagnostician, and educational advocate uniquely positions her to deliver assessments that are both clinically precise and deeply compassionate. This multidisciplinary experience allows Stephanie to approach evaluation with a holistic lens, ensuring that recommendations are meaningful, actionable, and tailored to each individual’s needs.


Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University, completed advanced coursework in Special Education leading to a Postgraduate Professional License from George Mason University, and received her Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. She is a member of the National Association of Psychometrists (NAP), a professional organization dedicated to excellence in psychometry.


Outside of her professional work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, including her two college-aged daughters. She has a strong passion for travel and loves exploring new places and experiencing different cultures throughout the United States and abroad.
