Jordan Wilson, Psy.D

Dr. Jordan Wilson is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than ten years of experience providing psychological assessment and psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and couples. He believes that a strong therapeutic relationship begins with creating a safe, comfortable environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly and collaboratively.

Dr. Wilson earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of William & Mary and completed both his master’s and doctoral training at the American School of Professional Psychology.

His therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from multiple evidence-based perspectives to meet the unique needs of each client. He has a particular interest in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic theory. Throughout his career, Dr. Wilson has worked extensively with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, mood-related concerns, and symptoms of psychosis. He also has a special interest in relationship difficulties, identity development, and helping clients navigate periods of personal and professional transition.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Wilson worked in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting, where he conducted risk assessments, provided crisis stabilization, and supported individuals experiencing severe psychiatric distress. This experience required him to remain calm, thoughtful, and ethically grounded in high-stakes situations where safety was paramount. He also collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams that included psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wilson enjoys mentoring students and early-career professionals as they develop their skills as mental health practitioners.

Seeking support for your mental health is a meaningful investment in yourself and your well-being. Dr. Wilson strives to provide a thoughtful, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic experience that helps clients better understand themselves and move toward the changes they hope to make in their lives.
