Jenn Jafari, M.A.

Doctoral Intern

Jenn Jafari is a Doctoral Intern in Clinical Psychology. She specializes in psychotherapy and psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her primary orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but she also draws from psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, and exposure therapy techniques to best meet her clients’ individual needs. She enjoys working with diverse populations, and with an ABA therapy background, she has vast experience with the autism spectrum and the neurodivergent population. She has also worked with individuals with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral difficulties. She has received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). 

Jenn trained at Children’s National Hospital in D.C. in the Child Development Clinic, providing psychological testing to infants and toddlers. She also trained at another outpatient clinic in Northern Virginia, offering psychotherapy, and at the Inova Kellar Center in Fairfax, VA, conducting psychotherapy and psychological testing. 

Jenn is a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School, D.C. campus, where she also earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. In her free time, Jenn enjoys cooking, swimming, watching TV shows, and spending time with loved ones.
