Jamie Alperin, M.A.
Doctoral Intern

Jamie Alperin is a doctoral intern in Clinical Psychology with a training background that
includes experience across multidisciplinary private practices and children
hospital-based settings, with a focus in psychological assessment. Her clinical interests
include trauma and stress-related presentations, depression, anxiety, OCD, and
supporting individuals navigating the challenges of school, work, and relationships.
Jamie believes that effective therapy begins with truly knowing the individual. She draws
from a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrates third-wave
behavioral approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to create treatment plans that are tailored, flexible,
and grounded in what matters most to each client.
She is committed to building a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients
feel genuinely seen and understood — meeting each person where they are without
judgment.
Jamie is currently receiving her Psy.D. at The Chicago School, D.C. campus, where she
also earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts
in Psychology with High Distinction from the University of Virginia.
Outside of her clinical work, Jamie enjoys dog walking, practicing yoga, traveling, and
spending time with loved ones.
