Elizabeth is a Resident Counselor and she works with adults who seek deeper self-awareness and help coping with relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. She collaborates with individuals to better understand and address the impact of family experiences, trauma, and patterns of behavior that lead them to feel either stuck or unfulfilled about the direction of their life. She uses an integrative approach, blending psychodynamic, behavioral, experiential, and practical interventions tailored to meet the client’s unique personality and needs, with the goal of developing a more emotionally balanced life.
Elizabeth also provides couples therapy to individuals struggling with communication and attachment wounds using emotion-focused, cognitive behavioral, and insight-oriented techniques. As a career-changer with a background in law and public health, she has an appreciation for the impact of life-changing events on relationships. Her goal is to empower couples with insight and skills to address a range of concerns, including job change or relocation, chronic health and intimacy issues, and coping with the demands of balancing work, family, friends, personal health, and wellness.
Elizabeth earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and a BA in Psychology from Duke University. She has EFT and Gottman (Level 1) training and AEDP Level 2 certification. Elizabeth was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. She enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her family.
