Aneesha Perkins, Psy.D.
Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Aneesha Perkins is a Post-Doctoral Clinical Psychologist whose therapeutic style is grounded in warmth, cultural sensitivity, and genuine compassion. She specializes in psychotherapy and clinical assessments of children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical interests include the treatment of trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, emotional regulation, and ADHD.
Dr. Perkins’ previous training experiences include working in outpatient private practices, schools, and community-based settings. She has provided comprehensive psychological evaluations to support special education eligibility determinations as well as guided school-based accommodations for students with diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Dr. Perkins' therapeutic lens is family systems-centered, with a focus on generational patterns and the emotional and relational impact of intergenerational trauma. She takes a holistic approach to care, integrating elements of psychodynamic-oriented and strength-based techniques, expressive arts, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to create a collaborative, flexible, and personalized treatment experience.
Dr. Perkins received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Hampton University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Christian College. She also received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP), and she received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. Outside of Dr. Perkins’ clinical work, she enjoys reading, writing, spending quality time with family and friends, and engaging in nature.
