Alexis Macy

Psy.D.

Alexis Macy is a post-doctoral fellow in Clinical Psychology specializing in psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and presenting with a diverse range of concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, as well as education and behavioral difficulties. Additionally, she has received training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to provide in-home therapy to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.

Dr. Macy's clinical interests include autism spectrum disorders, anxiety and depressive disorders, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral difficulties. She uses an integrative approach with influence from Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic therapies, and Positive Psychology techniques, utilizing Attachment theory to aid in her approach.

Dr. Macy graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in human development. She then went on to earn a master’s degree and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University in Sacramento.
