Aayushi Shah, M.A.
Resident in Counseling

Aayushi is a Resident in Counseling who works with children ages 5 and up, adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples. She uses a collaborative, relational approach grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), integrating dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), sensorimotor psychotherapy, and strengths-based, solution-focused techniques. Her style is experiential and trauma-informed, attending to the body as well as the mind, and she looks at the whole person in the context of their culture, relationships, and lived experience. She is passionate about helping people build self-awareness, work through what's holding them back, and move toward a more authentic, connected version of themselves.
Aayushi treats anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, life transitions, substance use, work-related concerns, trauma and ADHD. She has experience treating a range of concerns across ages and life stages, working with college students at a college counseling center, where she co-facilitated groups in DBT skills and grief. Her prior experience includes work at a psychiatric unit, where she conducted mental health workshops and performed assessments and testing under clinical supervision.
Aayushi holds an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College and a B.A. in Psychology from FLAME University, India.
Outside of work, Aayushi loves dogs, coffees, working out, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and meeting new people.
