Amanda Hyde, Psy.D.
Dr. Amanda Hyde is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides psychological testing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to individuals across the lifespan. She specializes in treating sleep disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, and mental health issues associated with chronic illness. Prior to joining FMHW, Dr. Hyde trained at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC in the Pulmonary and Sleep Clinics. She also completed an externship at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, MD conducting neuropsychological testing. Her clinical areas of interest include insomnia and circadian rhythm disorders, social anxiety, executive dysfunction, chronic illness burnout, and testing for neurodevelopmental disorders and pre-surgical evaluations.
Dr. Hyde received her doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC. She has two master's degrees, one in Clinical Psychology and one in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She received her bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. When not working, Dr. Hyde enjoys painting landscapes, reading fiction, and playing board games.
