Yuka Suzuki, M.A. 

Yuka Suzuki is a Doctoral Intern in Clinical Psychology specializing in psychotherapy and psychological evaluations with late adolescents and adults. She has experience working with individuals from diverse populations in variable settings including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, private practice, and community mental health outpatient clinic.

Ms. Suzuki has clinical experience in working with late adolescents and adults who present with anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, bipolar disorder, and cognitive, behavioral, and emotional difficulties due to childhood trauma. In addition, her clinical and research interests include cultural aspects of identity development and their impact on self-image and eating habits. She appreciates cultural diversity and contributes to an interdisciplinary approach to providing culturally responsive care.

She also conducts psychological assessments to discover unique challenges, highlight strengths, and develop effective treatment plans that meet individual needs. 

Ms. Suzuki graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Pacific Oaks College. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.
