Sarah Kannon, LCSW
Sarah Kane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who began working as a therapist in 2015 after completing Master’s degrees in both Psychology and Social Work at the University of Toronto.
Her specialties include grief and loss, relationship transitions, adjustment to illness, workplace burnout and compassion fatigue, trauma from abuse or neglect, anxiety, depression, and coping with significant life changes.
Working with clients 16 years and older, Sarah's approach is warm and active. She draws from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Bereavement Counseling, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness. She works with clients to first understand their circumstances, problems, strengths and values; which are then built on to find insight, relief, and tailored solutions.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Sarah has worked in both Canada and Australia before settling in the United States. In her downtime, she enjoys travel, sewing, cooking, and quality time with loved ones.
