Rachel Baines, Psy.D.
Rachel Baines is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology specializing in psychological evaluations and psychotherapy with children and adolescents.
Dr. Baines has clinical experience in working with children, teens, and adults who primarily present with mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, and behavioral difficulties. She has received training in exposure and response prevention for OCD and anxiety with children and adolescents. Additionally, she enjoys incorporating the use of child-centered play therapy for the younger children that she treats. Overall, she uses an integrative approach with influence from client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and family system therapy.
She conducts psychological testing to aid in better understanding the challenges an individual may be facing and to help create effective treatment strategies.
Dr. Baines received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice at Longwood University and her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington D.C. She received their doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
