Nashwa Ghali, M.A.

Nashwa Ghali is a Doctoral Intern in Clinical Psychology. She specializes in psychotherapy and psychological assessments with children and adolescents. She utilizes theories and approaches from multiple therapeutic modalities including CBT, psychodynamic, family systems, and humanistic therapies, as she believes in an integrative approach that is best suited for the client's needs. She enjoys connecting and working with diverse populations and integrates their cultural values and beliefs into the therapeutic process. Nashwa trained at Children’s National Hospital in Baltimore, MD in the Cancer and Epilepsy Clinics. She also completed an externship at the Inova Kellar Center in Fairfax, VA conducting neuropsychological testing and psychotherapy.

Her clinical interests include neuropsychological assessments and psychotherapy in the areas of anxiety, executive dysfunction and attention, trauma, family therapy, parent training/support, and group therapies. She has experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and presenting with a diverse range of concerns, including mood, behavior, and education difficulties. She has worked in private practices, pediatric hospitals, and outpatient clinics.

Nashwa is originally from Egypt and is fluent in Arabic (Egyptian Dialect). She is currently a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School. She received her Master’s of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School and her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from George Mason University.
