Clinical Psychologist Job Description

Fairfax Mental Health and Wellness, Inc. is offering the unique opportunity to join a growing and successful practice in Northern Virginia. Our new and fully renovated office location is conveniently located on Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax. Your role as a clinical psychologist will be to provide individual and family therapy as well as psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to people 6 years and older.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with an open, supportive approach.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a full range of mental health disorders as described in the

    Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V).

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational test batteries.

  • Write comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational testing reports.

  • Must be willing to work some evening or weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • Completion of doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited university or professional school directly related to clinical psychology.

  • Current Virginia State license in clinical psychology from a U.S. State, territory, or district OR if recently graduated, must take EPPP within 6 months of commencement of employment.
